A.L. Peterson opened Peterson Electric at 410 NP Avenue in 1923, repairing magnetos, generators and batteries for Fargo's fast-growing automotive, trucking and farm trade. His half-brother Oscar Larson joined in 1925, United Electric Service and Supply settled at 1st Avenue North in 1932, and the family kept training technicians through every change: 12-volt systems, alternators, air conditioning, fuel injection, computer controls. The 12-bay South Fargo shop opened in December 1999, West Fargo followed in 2007, and all three now run under one banner: United Automotive Tech Center.
